The IntegraRack IR-30 Ballastrack™ Solar Module Racking System is one of the most universal and advanced ground-mount racking systems ever developed for solar panels of any size. Designed for unmatched versatility and strength, the IR-30 easily supports everything from standard solar modules to 800-watt jumbo panels, making it ideal for residential, commercial, and off-grid installations.

With four innovative mounting options to choose from, the IR-30 delivers lightning-fast installation even in challenging environments such as soft sand or rocky terrain. Each IR-30 frame can be assembled in under two minutes, saving time and labor while ensuring precise and secure alignment.

Engineered for efficiency and cost savings, the IR-30 eliminates the need for concrete footings, post-pounded poles or manual dirt filling. Its simple but powerful modular design reduces installation time and lowers material costs, making it one of the most cost-effective ground-mount racking systems available today.

Built from 6061 T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, the IR-30 is stronger, lighter and more compact to ship than other racking systems in its class. The fixed 30° tilt angle is optimized for year-round energy production across most regions of the United States, delivering consistent performance and superior solar output in all seasons.

  • Its adjustable solar module height provides excellent ground clearance and efficient snow shedding, making the IR-30 a top choice for installers who need durability and ease of use in any climate. Whether used for small-scale residential solar projects or large off-grid and commercial energy systems, the IntegraRack IR-30 Ballastrack™ delivers the ideal combination of strength, simplicity and high-performance solar racking.

Includes:
1 IntegraRack IR-30 Module

This product conforms to UL 2703 Mechanical and Bonding requirements.

  • Building Permit NOT Required For Most Installations (See Documentation)
  • Proudly made in the USA with USA-sourced aircraft-grade aluminum

Base Ballast Mounting

Each IR-30 can be mounted using sand bags, water tanks, concrete blocks, or concrete curb stops, providing flexibility for different site conditions. For most installations, concrete cap blocks offer the most cost-effective and reliable option for internal frame ballast.

IR EarthBallast™ Mounting System

The EarthBallast™ mounting option is ideal for most terrain types, especially when excess soil or crushed rock is available on-site. A skid-steer loader or tractor can be used to evenly distribute the earth fill over the included geotextile material, which is stretched across and epoxied to the top of each solar rack frame before the solar panels are installed. This creates a strong, heavy ballast with a clean and natural finish once completed.

* 1" conduit pipe / EMT (not included) is required to connect the frames. This can be sourced from any local hardware or electrical supply store, typically sold in 10-foot lengths, which is sufficient to link two panels.

* For best results, we recommend using two 3/4" round concrete forming stakes per frame to increase structural strength and ensure easy leveling during installation

IR AnchorSpike™ Mounting System

The IR AnchorSpike™ Kit includes all the materials needed to install up to 10 solar modules using this mounting option. Each kit comes with specially engineered 33-inch barbed aluminum spikes and a high-strength two-part epoxy. The hollow structure of the AnchorSpikes, combined with open barbs, allows the epoxy to penetrate deep into the soil and form a solid ground anchor rated for over 1,000 pounds of uplift per spike.

Once installed, each IR-30 frame clamps securely onto two AnchorSpikes as the carriage bolts at the ends are tightened, enabling fast and easy leveling of the entire system.
For safety and performance, IR AnchorSpike must be tested in the soil at the installation site to confirm it can withstand a minimum uplift resistance of 1,000 pounds.

- 3/4 In. x 30 In. SDS-Max Speed-X Carbide Rotary Hammer Bit for Concrete Drilling

Concrete Slab/Footing Anchor Bolt Mounting System

The IR Concrete Anchor Bolt Mounting Kit includes all the materials needed to install up to 10 solar modules using this method. Each kit comes with high-strength concrete anchor bolts and two concrete drill bits for fast and reliable installation. Every IR-30 frame can be directly bolted to pre-cast concrete slabs or footings, as well as most existing concrete surfaces such as patios (site-specific engineering required). This mounting option delivers the maximum wind resistance and long-term structural stability.

INTEGRA/RACK FAQ:

Q: How many IR-30 frames do I need per solar panel?
A: You only need one IR-30 frame per solar module, plus one additional frame at the beginning of each row.

Q: Will I need a building permit to install IntegraRack?
A: In most cases, a building permit is not required for BallastRack installations unless the frames are attached to a solid foundation such as concrete footings. This follows guidance from the ICC® (International Code Council) as referenced in the 2024 IBC® (International Building Code). Always confirm with your local building department to ensure compliance. See Documentation.

Q: What is the ground clearance?
A: The IR-30 offers up to 2 feet of ground clearance, although the exact clearance depends on the height and placement of your solar modules. For regions with heavy snowfall, we recommend installing the system on 6 inches of raised earth with a drainage ditch below the lower edge of the modules for optimal performance.

Q: Which mounting option provides the highest wind-load rating?
A: Directly bolting the IR-30 frames to a concrete slab or footing offers the highest wind-load rating. Please review our detailed engineering data sheets to determine the best mounting option for your installation.
